Just Kill It: Bedbugs Invade NYC Nike Store

I was in Midtown Manhattan twice last month, and the whole time I was flipping out about getting bedbugs during my stay there. And so I consider myself fortunate that I never slept in that nearby Nike store, which has been closed down after reports of bedbug infestation.

Nike is the latest big retailer in Manhattan to get bit by the bedbug infestation. Abercrombie & Fitch also was shut down the bed bug infestation that is ravaging New York, as well as one Times Square theater. –NY Post.

One report said that at least a week would be necessary to treat the infestation. Bedbugs typically “live” within 8 feet of wherever humans sleep, and can survive through prolonged periods in cold weather and without food. There’s even a bedbug hotel registry. As if you needed another reason to never, ever live in New York City. Not hating or anything. I’m sure those seven-foot piles of garbage on the street have their charms.
