Bengals third-year wideout Maurice Purify is contributing to the Bengals’ rich offseason tradition of getting friendly with local law enforcement. The Nebraska product was booked into a northern Kentucky jail and released on bail this morning.
According to a Newport police report, officers broke up a fight at the bar at 1 Levee Way about 1:55 a.m. Officers made several subjects leave and one officer watched the back exit and saw Purify fighting with another person.
Purify joined the Bengals in 2008 and was on the practice squad for most of the past two seasons. He was activated to the 53-man roster midway through last year and was active for five games. –Enqurier.
At some point, this will stop being news, but I’m just glad to see that the Bengals have finally replaced Chris Henry on the roster. If only the team could get Chad Ochocinco to start calling him “Slim.” Hang on, Maurice. Here come a few white girls that are still in high school! You know what to do, my good man. Also.
