Chris Jans, head coach of the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team, was fired on Thursday after video surfaced of him slapping a woman’s butt in a bar. The school did an internal investigation and concluded the coach was drunk at a local bar on March 21 and acted inappropriately towards several patrons.

As seen on the video above, Jans was recorded slapping a woman on the butt, which was just one of several incidents reported to the school a day later in an undisclosed email that accused Jans of making unwanted advances toward multiple women that night, including one that allegedly started a confrontation.

SI.com obtained the school’s termination letter, in which Jans admitted that he touched two women in a way that attracted public attention, as well as calling one woman a “bitch,” which led to the confrontation.

Jans still had five years left on a six-year, $1.95 million contract he signed last year, but the school will not be responsible for paying him the remainder. Jans is married with two children.
