Calvin Johnson Shared A Disgustingly Graphic Photo Of His Jacked Up Finger

Calvin Johnson retired after the 2015 season at the young age of 30 after nine seasons in the NFL. Although Johnson was still a number-one receiver for the Lions, he opted to quit while he was ahead and not risk any long-term health issues that could have followed him should he have played longer.

Among the many injuries that Johnson had to deal with during his career was a severe finger injury in 2013. It was so bad, in fact, that Johnson couldn’t even bend it normally. Johnson was forced to go under the knife to repair it, but no one knew just how gnarly it was until he posted a graphic picture of the surgery to his Instagram page on Friday.

As a fair warning, this picture is quite gross.

I told you so.

Johnson was inspired to post the picture of his disgusting mangled finger to social media because former Bears and Panthers cornerback Charles Tillman posted a picture on his Instagram which shows his jacked up pinky finger, as well, although this one at least is above the skin.

I’m no doctor, but I’m confident in saying that in no situation is a human being’s finger supposed to bend that way.
