Cam Newton already had (accidentally) roughed up a line judge in the first half against the Giants on Sunday, and his difficult day continued in the 2nd quarter with this massive hit by the Giants’ Cullen Jenkins.
Newton was holding his shoulder after the play but he somehow managed to stay in the game and continue the drive. After Dominique Rogers-Cromartie dropped a sure interception on the throw caused by the Jenkins’ hit, Newton made New York pay just plays later with this touchdown pass to Greg Olsen.
