The last time we checked on how Cam Newton was spending his offseason, the reigning NFL MVP was hanging out at basketball games (both of the pro and youth variety), as well as posting inspirational messages on his Instagram page. Now, it appears that Newton has found a new hobby to keep himself ready for next season: playing water polo.
The Panthers’ quarterback was snapped practicing the Olympic sport at the U.S. Water Polo Training Center in California, and we must say he looks like an absolute beast.
The U.S. men’s water polo team was already able to capture first place the 2015 Pan American Games, as well as qualifying for Rio, but imagine how much more dominant they would be if they got to add a 6’4, 245 pound NFL quarterback to their roster? Croatia wouldn’t stand a chance.
