Here Are The Color Rush Uniforms The Panthers And Cowboys Will Wear On Thanksgiving

The NFL’s Color Rush uniforms for Thursday night games haven’t gone over very well in the first few weeks. During the first game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, some fans complained about how ugly the look was, while color blind fans had trouble figuring out what was going on. The Color Rush unis for Thursday night’s game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans were kinder to the color blind, but still an eyesore for the rest of us. One Twitter user went so far as to compare the unis to stale pee and a urinal cake.

One of the league’s biggest regular season games – the Thanksgiving contest between the Dallas Cowboys and the Carolina Panthers – also happens to be a Color Rush game. The uniforms for that game were released on Thursday night, and the league completely redeemed itself. Here’s what the Panthers’ uniforms will look like, as modeled by linebacker Luke Kuechly:

They’re nothing too crazy, but still pretty nice, especially compared to some of the atrocities we’ve seen over the first two Color Rush games. The Cowboys’ uniforms, though, are outstanding. Here are some pictures of Dez Bryant wearing the uniform, via the team’s website:

These aren’t flashy or anything, they’re just clean, simple uniforms that will probably look even better on television. For how much criticism the league has faced for the whole Color Rush initiative, it hit a home run with the Cowboys and Panthers.
