The ‘It Me College Football’ Podcast, Week 5: Texas, DMX, And Tacos

The great thing about college football is when you’re completely wrong about what you think is going to happen and you can start over. We thought Auburn could be good? Nope. How about Oregon? Nah. Okay, so UCLA will fold even if they have injuries and a freshman quarterback. Shows what you know. And Utah is okay, but there’s no way the Utes will look like an elite team through five weeks. Well, I’ve got something to tell you, buddy.

Our preconceived notions are dumb, and pointless, and it’s best to just enjoy the ride. And coming along on that ride this week on the “it me, college football” podcast is the internet’s own Lana Berry, host of the Lana Berry Show with Lana Berry.

We talk about a lot of nothing this week, but included in that nothing are:

  • Tacos.
  • Texas football.
  • The bad celebrity marriage that is the East Carolina vs. Virginia Tech series.
  • Jaden Smith tweets.
  • That time we bought RunTheDangBall.com on a podcast.
  • Kliff Kingsbury’s hair.
  • Martin invents an awful new type of three-team football.
  • We kind of make predictions for Week 5, but not really.
  • Daily fantasy lineups for 1998 rap albums.
  • An announcement.

As always, comments and tweets are always welcome. Subscribe to us on iTunes, too! You can find Robby at (@rkalland) and Martin at (@martinrickman). And Lana is at (@lana). Football is great and so are friends, but football is always better with friends.

Remember to record yourself sending questions to Paul Winebaum, who will be on next week to break down all the big news in the wine game. Or email Paul himself at paulwinebaum@gmail.com.

Special thanks to the band Annabel for our intro and outro music. They’re really great. You should buy their music at their website or perhaps see them play a show some time.
