Listen, drunk fans brawling at a game is nothing new. We don’t hit it here at Uproxx Sports because a) it’s so common b) the participants are imbeciles. But every so often something really, really good comes down the pipe. Take for example this clip from Sunday night’s game between the Giants and Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. There’s the ho-hum arguing back-and-forth between a woman in a Miles Austin jersey and some fans behind her. It escalates into a mini-brouhaha when said Miles Austin fan starts throwing punches at Tony Romo. Then, a blonde woman comes to the aid of her friend and starts kicking her legs.
And sure, it’s mostly amusing, no one gets hurt and all the imbeciles involved are escorted out when the police come swooping in. But there’s a star in this video we’re not mentioning, a man who clearly understands humor and stupidity far better than anyone else.
I speak of course about the man channeling his inner Turd Ferguson with the giant Cowboys hat. Seriously look at this thing.
How could you possibly take anyone wearing that hat seriously? How could you possibly get into a fight with that thing anchored on your head? I’m not even that mad, I’m impressed. That’s amazing. If not for someone tipping it over at the 1:52 mark, we could have seen an entire altercation with a man wearing a giant hat. And I don’t know about you, but there are few things in life better than seeing people in ridiculous hats fighting.
