If you’re like me, you have always wondered what it would be like to ride around in a car driven by a NASCAR driver. Not their race car, but instead a normal car that you see on the street every day.
A handful of unsuspecting Lyft users in Charlotte got that opportunity. Danica Patrick went undercover as a Lyft driver, picked up a handful of people who used the app, and took them on rides throughout the town. Like every “celebrity goes undercover” video, no one had any idea that the person that was giving them a hand was actually someone who does this thing professionally. One dude even said that Patrick was his favorite NASCAR driver back when he was into the sport, even though he had no idea that she was the one giving him a ride.
Of course, there are lots of racing jokes. Patrick mentions that she likes making left turns and that she likes to get in 500 miles worth of driving ever Sunday in about four hours. The entire video is just as silly as you would imagine, and everyone has the same reaction when Patrick reveals herself at the end.
