Watch This Detroit Tigers Pitcher Mash A Monster Home Run In His First Major League At-Bat

Well, this doesn’t happen too often, does it? In fact, the last time it happened was in 2011 when Tommy Milone slapped a dinger in his first plate appearance. Detroit Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris cemented his first at-bat with a 419-foot homer. A two-run shot that made a bit of history for Norris and the organization as well:

Pretty neat stuff, but it’s apparently not the first time Norris has hit a homer — even if said homer didn’t count. During batting practice before a game against the Cubs, Norris broke a long ball off of Wrigley Field’s scoreboards.
