Watch A Clemson Lineman Propose To His Girlfriend On Senior Day

Clemson offensive lineman Daniel Stone celebrated his Senior Day on Saturday by running out of the tunnel and – under the gaze of friends and family – proposing to his girlfriend right on the field.

Stone is listed as a reserve offensive and defensive lineman in the Clemson media guide, making the team as a walk-on. He’s originally a local boy, coming to Clemson from Simpsonville, South Carolina, barely an hour away from Howard’s Rock so you can imagine how much it meant to him to earn a scholarship and get on the field in a Tiger uniform.

While he hasn’t played in too many games as a reserve, this is another way to make his short time on the field be as memorable as possible. Assuming the Tigers continue to take care of business en route to an ACC Championship, Stone should get the chance to earn a ring of his own in the College Football Playoff. There’s a lot of stars in college football, but many, many more who exist in the background. Senior Day is a great way to thank those who work hard during the week but don’t get their name called on Saturdays.

Luckily for Stone his girlfriend said yes, and he can now play his final game at Clemson secure with the knowledge that he’s got a new adventure to go on once football season ends.
