As tensions rise around North Korea’s escalating tests of weapons of mass destruction, Donald Trump has met North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s aggressions head-on, promising to deliver “fire and fury like the world has never seen.” Trump’s words have rattled U.S. allies as the North Korean regime continues to send intercontinental ballistic missiles into the waters off the coast of Japan, and a recent boast from North Korea stating their acquisition of hydrogen bomb capabilities has the entire world concerned. But one man has a plan — five-time NBA champion and rebounder supreme Dennis Rodman.

Rodman has been increasingly buddy-buddy with Kim Jong-un, someone who he goes on and on about singing karaoke with, and now, since Rodman has a relationship with both Donald Trump (his old The Apprentice boss) and Kim, he wants the world to know that North Korea’s dictator is a normal guy, and Trump just needs to pick up the phone. That will settle things right down.

“I understand how he’s a dictator to his people and he tries to be a madman, but I’ve never seen anything like this in the world. Every time I see him, he’s always calm, he’s always smiling, especially when he’s with family,” Rodman said.

Now, Rodman’s take is worth paying attention to because it seems like he knows Kim better than anyone. They do a lot of cool things together.

Rodman explained his plan to ease international tensions to Good Morning Britain in length, while also reiterating that Jong-un is just a normal fella who reportedly blew up his uncle with an anti-aircraft missile and allegedly poisoned his half-brother.

“I think if the president even tries to reach out for Kim, I think it will be a great possibility. Things can happen if Donald Trump, if they sit down, and have some type of mutual conversation. It don’t have to be like a friendship type of conversation, just a mutual conversation saying, ‘Hi, I would love to engage in some words and politics and over the history of your country and my country and just try to start some dialogue.’ I think that’ll open up maybe the door just a little bit.”

“You know as well as I do, Donald can be a little crazy sometimes. Donald Trump’s attitude is he loves to be cocky, he loves to be the boss, he loves to be the man. I love Donald Trump. I thank Donald Trump for giving me the opportunity to be on his show, an opportunity to be his friend and an opportunity to be an American, but I just think that one day, just one day, if someone can reach out, if Donald can say, ‘You know what? Maybe I will try to do something instead of everyone fighting against each other.’ I understand the history. I just wish one day somebody could say, ‘OK.’”

According to Dennis Rodman, Donald Trump gave him the opportunity to be American, which makes this entire interview make a little more sense. Maybe. Now, we go to a look at Kim and Dennis’ night out.
