The bond between Devon Still and his daughter Leah is still the most heartwarming story in sports.
You’re likely aware of the inspiring story of the Cincinnati Bengal and his daughter who battled cancer. Fortunately, Leah is in remission now, but it’s still tough for Still to leave his daughter for training camp. He gave a touching speech at the ESPYs on how much she has taught him about life.
We both knew this day was coming when we had to say bye but we didn't know it would come this soon. I was only willing to show this part of our goodbye because we both make the ugliest faces when we cry so I couldn't do us like that 😂😂😂. On a serious note, I'm not leaving her to go out there and play around I'm going to handle business. My daughter has been through hell this past year and now I have the opportunity to make sure she gets the world from here on out. So I'm going to make sure she gets it #iDidntGrindThisHardToFail #LeahStrong #StillStrong #FocusedOnAnotherLevel
If the water works are flowing, you’re not the only one. Devon and Leah are a reminder that good things still happen in this world. Their handshake, which I believe is inspired by Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is incredibly awesome.
Best of luck to Leah in her fight against cancer.
