Did Dez Bryant Give Up On This Game-Winning Interception?

The Cowboys had multiple chances to secure a victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but couldn’t stop shooting themselves in the foot and lost 10-6.

After Jameis Winston fumbled at the goal line in what would have given the game to Dallas, it was called back because of a penalty and the Bucs eventually scored. Still, Dallas had around 45 seconds to drive up the field and try to win it, but instead on this play Matt Cassell was intercepted by Bradley McDougald in the end zone to secure the win, and it certainly appeared as though Dez Bryant gave up on the play at the worst possible time.

MacDouglad clearly shoved him in the back, and it may very well have been a missed penalty that would have kept the Cowboys’ drive alive, but Bryant still could have at least made an effort to knock the ball away or try and catch it himself instead of immediately turning to the referee. Instead, MacDouglad made the play, the ref didn’t make the call, and the Cowboys are 2-7.
