As everyone spends Christmas morning recovering from an overabundance of eggnog the previous night, the immediate recourse is coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. On Christmas Eve, Washington Nationals pitcher Doug Fister offered his Twitter followers a Starbucks gift card.

All things being equal, the gift card’s set amount ran out rather quickly. Always a gentleman, Fister apologized after the card’s amount hit $0.

Fister made a lot of new fans with this gesture. Just imagine what would happen is he had offered his followers free access to Pornhub.
