The Packers Forced OT With Yet Another Incredible Hail Mary

You can never count the Green Bay Packers out of a game. We’ve learned that much so far this NFL season.

With their season on the line and only one last chance to tie the score in their NFC Divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers converted on yet another absolutely crazy Hail Mary on the final play of regulation. As you may recall, Green Bay managed to defeat the Detroit Lions in similar fashion earlier in the season.

Some will question Arizona coach Bruce Arians’ decision to send a blitz after Rodgers on the play – leaving less than a handful of defensive backs to protect the end zone – but the Cards did manage to put pressure on the QB. However, Rodgers still managed to chuck a desperation bomb down the field and Jeff Janis went up and got it for the TD. The play was reviewed by referees, but then it was still determined to be a good catch and overtime would be needed to determine a victor.

Thankfully for Arians and the Cardinals, they managed to score on the opening drive of OT to sneak away with the playoff win.
