Hope Solo was handed a six-month suspension and had her contract with U.S. Soccer terminated as a result of her calling the Swedish soccer team “cowards” after a tournament-ending loss at the Rio Olympics. When she was told of this decision, documentary cameras were on hand to capture the moment.

The website FullScreen leaked the clip from Keeping Score to People in an effort to create publicity for the Solo episode that will air Sept. 2, and since I just typed this sentence and you read it, clearly it worked. Solo cries, swears a little, hugs husband Jerramy Stevens and seems perplexed as to why she finds herself in this predicament.

Solo has represented the United States for nearly two decades — “17 f*cking years,” according to her in this video — but has since come under fire for her “cowards” comment and domestic abuse allegations. Along with the national team suspension, she has taken a leave of absence from her club team, the Seattle Reign of the National Women’s Soccer League.
