A jury found Isiah Thomas and MSG guilty of sexually harassing Anucha Browne Sanders; however, Thomas will not have to pay punitive damages — that responsibility will fall on MSG.
U.S. District Judge Gerard E. Lynch called it an "imminently reasonable" verdict and said the jury will be asked to return later Tuesday to hear brief arguments on punitive damages.
The harassment verdict was widely expected after the jury sent a note to the judge Monday indicating that it believed Thomas and the other defendants, Madison Square Garden and MSG chairman James Dolan, sexually harassed Browne Sanders, a married mother of three.
I just don't get MSG. I mean, sexually harassing the hot Rangers skaters? Understandable. Knicks City Dancers? I'd grope that. But a former women's basketball player who has kids? That's admitting that you actually don't care if the woman looks good or not. That's just an impressive level of pigheadedness. I think they should at least get credit for discriminating against all women equally.
