It's time for fanboys to pitch a fit now that the Madden 09 team and individual ratings are out, thanks to Pasta Padre (via Shutdown Corner). These ratings offer the best of both worlds: they're effectively early power rankings for sensitive people to piss and moan about and they actually have a bearing on a game you'll spend far too much time playing. That is, until roster updates come out.

Pardon me while i push my glasses up my nose.

Brodie Croyle is bringing up the rear of starting QBs with a 78 rating. Somehow the Falcons Chris Redman gets a 82. Meanwhile, the game is predicting some roster upheaval, with Matty Ice beating Redman by a point and Darren McFadden being tied overall with Raiders' incumbent starting back, son of Huggy Bear Justin Fargas.

Yup, it's good to see my Steelers get a higher rating than the Jaguars, the team that beat them soundly twice late last season. My homerism rating is still pegged at 100.
