Jamaal Charles is one of the best running backs in the NFL and a crucial part of a Chiefs offense that isn’t particularly dangerous in the passing game.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs and their fans – as well as all of those of us who rely on him in fantasy football – it appears as though Charles may be out for a considerable amount of time after going down with a non-contact knee injury against the Bears.

After taking the handoff, Charles right knee appeared to have buckled as he tried to plant and, although there’s no word as of now to the severity of the injury, it certainly did not look good. Charles didn’t return.

Charles already has torn his ACL once back in 2011, and Chiefs fans can only hope that this injury is not as severe.
