Jean-Claude Van Damme Wants To Help Train UFC Fighter Conor McGregor

Move over Sensei Seagal, there’s a new action movie star that wants to teach UFC fighters how to fight. Jean-Claude Van Damme was on Bruce Buffer’s It’s Time podcast to talk about featherweight contender “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. The interview has been helpfully transcribed by MMA Fighting:

“After this fight I would love to spend some time with him to elevate the knee even better and not make mistakes. Turning around like that, it’s fantastic. He’s got the speed but a guy like Aldo can get inside him. That’s dangerous.”

I’m fully confident that Aldo will win the fight, and I don’t think even the mighty JCVD could teach McGregor enough to win. Though maybe Van Damme could show McGregor what to do if he gets poked in the eye and temporarily loses vision.

Conor McGregor will take on Jose Aldo for the featherweight title at UFC 189 on July 11, only on PPV.
