MLB Tweeted A Photo Of Cubs Fan Jenny McCarthy, And Everyone Made Vaccination Jokes

Sports fans, this is Jenny McCarthy. You probably first saw her in Playboy, and have since seen her in dozens of mostly not great TV shows and movies. You might also remember as the pseudo-scientist who led a brigade of bumbling buffoons known as anti-vaxxers. McCarthy of course claimed the MMR vaccine caused her son’s autism. Which, yes, that’s very stupid. There’s no reason to debate this anymore. You’re either on the right or the wrong side of this debate, especially because the study linking the two was falsified.

Moving on.

On Tuesday evening, the Cubs returned to Wrigley Field for Game 3 of the NLCS, a game they desperately needed to win. A loss all but assures their exit from the 2015 season. So, of course MLB chose diehard Cubs fan Jim Belushi to rep the city on Twitter. Oh, never mind, Jim wasn’t available.

Okay, how about Bill Murray? He was in town, right?

No?

Damn, scraping the bottom of the barrel here. How about CM Punk?

No.

Well, forget it then. There’s not a single celeb… I’m sorry, what’s that? Bah Gawd, that’s Jenny McCarthy’s music!

And then everyone made vaccination jokes because it was low-hanging fruit.

To be fair, there were lots of tweets in support of McCarthy, mostly from fellow anti-vaxxers with tinfoil hats on screaming about steel melting on 9/11. Also, the people of St. Charles, apparently.
