A Jets Coach’s Son Talked Trash About Players In The Locker Room, Then Got Called Out By Antonio Cromartie

Here’s a sound piece of advice: If you’re allowed access inside an NFL locker room, you probably should not proceed to take pictures of players and then talk trash about them on Twitter. This is a bad idea.

That lesson was learned the hard way by the son of Jets tight end coach Jimmie Johnson this past weekend. After the team’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Johnson’s son was permitted access in the Jets locker room, where he apparently decided to snap some photos, then upload them to his Twitter account accompanied by jabs at a few of the squad’s star players.

Here’s his shot at “bum ass” quarterback Geno Smith, who is currently sidelined with a broken jaw. This is literally adding insult to injury.

Johnson’s son also took a shot at cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who has a well-documented history of having strong swimmers.

That proved to be a fatal mistake, as Cromartie (who might be a Twitter name-searcher!) discovered the tweet and decided to publicly call out the younger Johnson in pretty emphatic fashion.

Ouch.

After Cromartie’s response, Johnson’s son deleted the tweets, changed his Twitter handle and then posted this apology.

Who knows if Johnson’s son will be allowed to head back inside the locker room after this, but — if he is — I think it’s a safe bet that he’ll only have nice things to say on social media.
