Let’s Relive The Best Plays Of The Tournament So Far

Four teams remain after a wild two weekends of tournament action. The Blue Bloods are there, of course — Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State — teams that are always in the hunt for a championship, something you can see for yourself, courtesy of Reebok. Wisconsin’s also there for a second year in a row, hoping to avoid consecutive tournament losses to Kentucky.

But everyone else is sitting at home, falling victim to the ups and downs of the big dance. Let’s take a look at some of the best moments from an entertaining two rounds of the tournament:

Father and son.

Arguably the story of the tournament, and certainly the most heartwarming, was Georgia State’s huge upset victory over No. 3 seed Baylor. With only seconds remaining, R.J. Hunter lifted up from deep to deliver this dagger. Even better (if that’s possible) was the ensuing celebration from his father and coach, Ron Hunter.

Block of the Irish.

This game-saving block from Notre Dame’s Pat Connaughton occurred with seconds left against Butler in regulation. The Irish ultimately went on to win in overtime 67-64.

No-look pass.

Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell’s likely headed to the NBA, and his court vision is one reason why. His no-look pass against Arizona was a thing of beauty.

Now that’s a dunk

Willie Cauley-Stein’s dunk facial against Cincinnati is much better in photos.

Excuse me, R. Kelly.

That time MSU’s Alvin Ellis thought he could fly. Then Darion Atkins clipped his wings.

Watch out for the big man.

NC State stayed in the game in large part because of this buzzer beater from big man BeeJay Anya.

Toilet bowl buzzer-beater.

Watch this play over and over. It’s one of those shots that doesn’t seem possible at first. The angle isn’t there, but Cincinnati’s Troy Caupain somehow found a window… and went off the window for the score.

Look out below!

Sure, this dunk from Wyoming’s Larry Nance, Jr. didn’t count, but does it matter?

Everyone’s talking about Justise Winslow on the offensive end, but this block might be his signature play of the tourney.

Have you ever seen a fadeaway dunk? Well, you have now, thanks to Joseph Young.

Frank Kaminsky dancing? Frank Kaminsky dancing.

He touched me! He really, really touched me.

Nobody’s ever been more disgusted than Magic Johnson.

Notre Dame was THIS close to a Final Four.

Just Cal doing the Kermit meme, no big thing.

Wisconsin is in the Final Four in large part because of Sam Dekker.

Put a little sugar on that pass.
