This Crazy Lingerie Football Play Would Be Impressive At Any Level

On Saturday, Ole Miss and Alabama gave us one of the most unbelievable plays of the last few years, a botched snap turned lucky carom for a touchdown. The play helped the Rebels defeat Alabama for the second year in a row, a first in the program’s history.

Four months ago a similar play happened, albeit on a much different playing field in an LFL game between the Chicago Bliss and Atlanta Steam. We just happened to stumble on it Tuesday afternoon. It somehow didn’t make the rounds when it occurred which is absolutely mind-boggling.

It starts when a snap goes over the head of Steam quarterback Dakota Hughes, who races twenty yards back to retrieve it. She scrambles up field eluding several tackles before heaving up a hail mary to a wide open Adrian Purnell for a touchdown.

Sure, we get that the quality of football in the LFL (formerly the Lingerie Football League) isn’t on par with the SEC. Nobody’s arguing that. But this play would be impressive on any level, amateur or professional.

As the play-by-play man noted, this is “unprobable.”
