MARV ALBERT ON ‘THE SIMPSONS’

Not that I’m up to speed on this subject any more, but “The Simpsons” looks like it’s still going strong.  This sequence from Sunday’s episode — when Monty Burns unveils a new sports arena, only to have it overrun with bees — features Marv Albert in a cameo and delivers a couple good laughs.  But then, I’ve always been a sucker for Bee Man.

Not that you give a shit, but I used to watch 17 episodes of “The Simpsons” every week when I was in college — three per weekday in syndication and two on Sundays.  I also got a double major in American history and political science.  And guess which was a more worthwhile use of my time.  (Hint: try to remember the last joke I told that referenced Hobbes’ Leviathan or Frederick Jackson Turner’s theory of the West.)  Thanks for nothing, college!
