Michael Phelps’ Death Stare Is Now The Most Intense Tattoo Ever

Michael Phelps has been absolutely demolishing the Rio Olympics, despite the fact that he just came out of retirement not too long ago. The world’s most famous and decorated swimmer has also been dominating the meme Olympics, most notably with his METAL AS HELL intense staredown of arch-rival Chad le Clos. (They also had a lot of fun with him wrecking le Clos in one-on-one competition.)

Now the world’s most famous mean-mugging has become the world’s best portrait tattoo and the best possible way to show your American patriotism. AND IT HAPPENED IN CANADA. Courtesy of tattoo artist Livia Tsang at Chronic Ink in Toronto, feast your eyes on the greatest black-and-grey portrait tattoo ever slung:

My god. MY GOD. It’s beautiful. ESPN managed to get some quotes directly from the tattoo’s owner, Ricky Fung, regarding this absolute work of art, and why he had to have it (which should go without saying).

“I was out last night and a bunch of people were coming up to me, asking why I got it,” Fung said, “and I had to explain to them that looking at that is a good reminder every day to go out with focus and dominate like he did.”

Ricky Fung’s leg belongs in a museum. Thank you, Ricky (and Michael), for reminding us to always go out and dominate.
