Nate Diaz Was Reportedly In A Brawl With Clay Guida’s Brother At UFC 199

For someone who supposedly doesn’t fight for free, Nate Diaz sure fights for free a lot. Rumors swirled after UFC 199 that Nate Diaz was involved in some sort of altercation, and now reports have revealed that his backstage opponent was Jason Guida, brother of UFC featherweight Clay Guida. It is not confirmed if this was an official Boiler Room match, but BloodyElbow’s report states that Nate walked out of the tunnel like nothing happened after the melee.

Evan Rodner, producer of Brendan Schaub’s ‘Fighter and the Kid’ podcast, saw the fight go down:

“It looked like Nate Diaz got into an altercation with Jason Guida, Clay Guida’s older brother. I have no idea what it was over, but all of a sudden there were a ton of bodies entering the tunnels in the back. After the scuffle had ended, Diaz walked back into the arena as though nothing had happened. He didn’t give one single f*ck.”

This is typical Diaz form. The younger Diaz brother has been in plenty of street fights with his older brother Nick, and they’ll throw down any place and any time. Last year, the bros and their team tore up a Planet Hollywood outside of a World Series of Fighting event after UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov punched one of their teammates.

Nate is also no stranger to commentating and filming street fights.

Hopefully Nate cuts out these types of actions now that he’s a superstar, there’s too much to lose and all eyes are on him. MMA may be in a bubble, but one errant punch could lead to a lawsuit, one accidental injury in a fight that simply doesn’t matter could cost him millions.
