Watch NFL Players Adorably Attempt To Style Their Daughters’ Hair

NFL players are naturally tough guys. They have to be when they deliver (and receive) as many punishing hits as they do. They’re competitive, emotional, trash-talking athletes ready to throw down at a moment’s notice. So it’s a lot of fun when they step off the gridiron, peel back the proverbial curtain and show their softer sides. A lot of these players are family men, too, which means they have to do dad stuff. And dad stuff is hilarious to watch.

For Super Bowl 50, Pantene came up with an advertising campaign showing NFL players doing their daughters’ hair and the results are…actually pretty good. Well, for the most part. Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams showed some ability in the video above to adapt on the fly braiding his daughter’s hair. New Orleans Saints tight end Benjamin Watson got the seal of approval from not one, but two daughters:

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten? Well, his hair-styling session didn’t go quite as well:

Williams’ face, realizing he’s flying by the seat of his pants, is priceless as his daughter asks if he can put bows in her hair. Watching Witten try his damndest before settling on pigtails is solid, too. It’s a lighthearted way to start the Super Bowl ads war and it gives a good glimpse into these players’ lives beyond the football field.
