Even The NFL’s Official Twitter Is Now Trolling The Patriots About Deflategate

Deflategate is not going away. Early this morning, while you were sleeping, or perhaps while you were watching the Foo Fighters’ send-off of Dave, the NFL’s official Twitter account tweeted a link to a video of NFL coaches answering questions about what it takes to be a franchise quarterback. So, what does it take, exactly?

Well, many things. Most notably, according to the clever person who runs the NFL’s Twitter, it takes precision, strength, and intelligence. Or, P.S.I., if you care to abbreviate it. And, of course, accompanying the tweet was a picture of Andrew Luck.

The trolling game is strong in this one.

The tweet was published just days after Patriots owner Robert Kraft said the team would be accepting the league’s punishment for their role in Deflategate. “I’m going to accept, reluctantly, what he (Roger Goodell) has given to us and not continue this dialogue and rhetoric,” said Kraft. “And we won’t appeal.”

“Glad to hear that,” said the league’s official Twitter in a quote being made up by me right now. “Now that it’s out of the way, we will continue poking you in the eye for the rest of the summer. How does this feel? Me poking you? You don’t like it, do you?”

Your move, Patriots Twitter.
