Nobody Was More Excited At The NIT Championship Than Michael Irvin

On Thursday night, the Miami Hurricanes played in the NIT Championship at Madison Square Garden. Michael Irvin, who played football at Miami back in the ’80s, was in attendance, and he got really into the game.

After the Hurricanes stormed back to tie Stanford at the end of regulation, cameras panned to Irvin in the stands. Dude was pumped up.

ESPN kept a camera on Irvin during overtime and cut away to him on several occasions. With only seconds remaining in the game, Miami tossed up a desperate three for the win. It missed the mark. Sad Irvin was sad.

The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat.
