Patriots Fans Have A Long-Standing Tradition Of Pulling The Fire Alarm On Opponents

The Patriots are notorious by now around the NFL and its fans for their history of using shady (and at times illegal) tactics to gain a competitive edge over their opponents. The night before their AFC Championship game against the Steelers, there were shenanigans that had nothing to do with the team itself when a Patriots fan pulled the fire alarm at Pittsburgh’s team hotel in the middle of the night.

A 25-year-old man from East Boston was arrested for the stunt, and of course has no affiliation with the Patriots organization. (Unless…okay, just kidding.) But it is far from the first time something like this has happened in New England.

Patriots fans have absolutely zero chill. It makes sense that this fanbase, well-known for confusing being a hardcore fan with actually being part of the team, would find where their team’s opponents are staying and screw with them, probably while shouting, “I’m helping!” It just fits with their traditions.

Losing their chance at a good night’s sleep the night before the big game is a problem for the Steelers, compounded by the fact that many players are getting over the flu. If the black and gold look extra sluggish out there on Sunday evening, Steelers fans will have their excuses locked and loaded for sports talk radio on Monday. No word yet on if any other Patriots fans will be sent to detention or lose their free period privileges in school next week.
