Watch This Polish Fighter Get His Arm Broken Backwards During A Judo Throw

*Warning: The video below is disturbing to watch. Viewer discretion is advised.*

You can add this to the growing list of reasons why you should never become a mixed martial arts fighter: sometimes they break their arms backwards while getting taken down by their opponents. These kinds of horrific injuries happen even if you’re a hall of famer like Anderson Silva (whose leg broke in half on his opponent’s knee after a routine kick) or just some random dude named Dominik Oslizlo on the undercard of Polish fight card HFO 2 Kunlun Elimination 2016.

MMA is an inherently dangerous sport, but many of the most brutal injuries are often total flukes. This specific incident was preventable, though. The poor fighter whose arm was broken made the mistake of posting his arm while getting thrown, which is something you’re told repeatedly during training to never, ever, ever do. Why? Because depending on the physics of the situation, you’re liable to have your arm fold backwards onto itself in horrific fashion.

You can watch the raw video footage below, but seriously, don’t go any further unless you want to witness some gnarly stuff. Okay? Okay. You asked for it…

Not enough for you?

You still want to see the gif?

Very well.
