Watch This Blues Player Perform An Incredible Split To Stay Onside

St. Louis Blues rookie Robby Fabbri had a very nice night at the office during Thursday’s Game 5 against the Blackhawks. Not only did the 20-year-old record his first career playoff goal in the contest, but he also had a few great plays that won’t show up on the stat sheet.

One of them didn’t even involve Fabbri touching the puck. During a St. Louis possession in overtime, Fabbri snuck into the offensive zone a little too early and had to quickly recover to ensure that the Blues could enter the zone legally without being called offside. With the puck-carrier coming through the neutral zone quickly, Fabbri decided the best chance he stood involved doing a split to get one of his skates on the blue line.

Amazingly, he was able to pull it off just in the nick of time and, even more amazingly, didn’t tear his groin in the process. It won’t show up on the box score, but I’m sure Fabbri’s coach and teammates appreciate the incredible effort.
