RGIII Responds To His Latest ‘Obstacles’ With A Biblical Tweet

It’s been a strange few days for Washington “backup” quarterback Robert Griffin III. The alleged back-and-forth between ownership and coach Jay Gruden reached its nadir when RG3 was unceremoniously moved to No. 2 on the depth chart behind Kirk Cousins. In the organization’s own words: “This is Kirk’s team.”

That led to an RG3 social media snafu, an Instagram like of a post critical of the team. He later blamed the whole thing on a lowly intern because Cris Carter taught him about “fall guys” and stuff.

Fast forward to Wednesday morning, and Griffin wants some time for reflection, and some time to figure out what’s going on. He took to Twitter with this quote and photo.

Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Three important questions:

-Did RG3 post this, or was it that rogue intern?
-Did RG3 just copyright a Google image, or the entire Bible?
-Does Tim Tebow know he’s using his likeness?

This whole thing has become both very sad and wildly entertaining.
