Things weren’t going all that well for Bayern Munich in their Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg. They were trailing 1-0 at halftime and needed a spark off the bench to get back into things. Insert Robert Lewandowski, who managed to not only give his team the victory, but put in one of the most historic performances in soccer history by scoring a remarkable five goals in nine minutes.

That’s right, Lewandowski came on as a substitute in the 46th minute, scored the equalizing goal for his team in the 51st, and by the 60th, he had notched five freaking goals on his own to give Bayern Munich a commanding 5-1 lead.

Twitter, of course, reacted properly.

Unsurprisingly, the performance set several records:

-The five goals in nine minutes were the fastest in Bundesliga history.
-The first three goals, which came in the span of four minutes, also gave him the fastest hat trick in Bundesliga history.
-Only substitute in Bundesliga history to score five goals.

Moreover, Lewandowski’s five goals in less than 10 minutes surpassed the amount of goals scored by seven whole teams in Bundesliga thus far this season.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola summed it all up pretty well after Lewandowski’s fifth goal, his best of the bunch.

Same.
