Seattle Fans Chanted ‘Brady Cheated’ When The Mariners Hosted Boston On Saturday

In a different universe, the New England Patriots were held out of the Super Bowl for Deflategate and replaced by the Indianapolis Colts. Now with a much more favorable matchup, the Seattle Seahawks were able to take down Andrew Luck and company, en route to winning their second Super Bowl in a row.

Of course, that didn’t happen. The game went on as planned, the Patriots won, and the Seahawks had to deal with being the second-best professional football team on Earth. You can probably imagine that Seattle fans weren’t exactly happy with this, and on Saturday night, they decided to express their disapproval while one of their teams (the Mariners) hosted a team from the Boston area (the Red Sox).

Mariners fans busted out a loud “Bra-dy chea-ted *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap*” chant in the sixth inning of this weekend’s game during an at-bat between Red Sox outfielder Brock Holt and Seattle ace Felix Hernandez. If the intention was to get in Holt’s head, it kind of worked, as he grounded out during the AB. However, Holt was able to drive in an insurance run and this game ended up just like the Super Bowl. The team from Massachusetts was able to get the last laugh, as Boston beat Seattle, 4-2.
