A while back we might have mentioned that LeBron James was developing an autobiographical cartoon series, but I’m too lazy to check because I’m halfway to Key West and can taste the boat drinks already. Regardless, the first episode of LeBron’s “The LeBrons” has been released, and the episode, entitled “Lion”, is the first glimpse at the four characters that the self-anointed King voices himself, and each character is based on LeBron’s personality.
One character is a young boy, or LeBron before the fame, growing up in Akron, as the opening song explains. The second character is an old man, who represents LeBron’s wisdom that he has amassed from all those years of letting people make decisions for him. Then there’s the athlete, who – spoiler alert! – plays basketball. Finally, there’s ladies man LeBron, who apparently lets kids walk into his house and watch him put the moves on women. As you’ll see in the first episode below, the message is that “two wrongs don’t make a right”. Like signing Chris Bosh can’t be solved by blaming Chris Bosh. I think that’s the point.
“today’s lesson, kids, is to whore yourself out to the public in order to garner the most attention from others”
Couldn’t they have at least teamed him up with Ovechkin and Chris Johnson and brought back the ProStars?
I especially enjoyed the rampant product placement!
I like how he doesn’t voice the athlete LeBron but only the asshole business LeBron.
Now if you excuse me, I have to search for some Nike apparel and HP flatscreens using the Bing search engine.
