Texas got a new head coach in former VCU mastermind Shaka Smart this past spring, but even Longhorns fans couldn’t have predicted they’d get a marquee win this soon.
After hanging with the No. 3 Tar Heels all game, Javan Felix snagged a loose ball rebound with less than a second remaining and somehow got off a shot to beat UNC 84-82 at the buzzer on Saturday. It was so close the basket had to go under review, but officials declared it good and the win stood.
