What do you do when you’re running a female sports league that gets practically zero coverage from the mainstream media and is really only mentioned on major blog sites when the players or coaches curse like sailors and try to rip each other’s heads off, all while dressed like they’re WWE Divas? You try to get in on the Ray Rice action, obviously. The Legends Football League, formerly and still mostly known as the Lingerie Football League, boasts 10 rosters of the presumably toughest female football players in the United States, and yet the only time we ever hear from them is in YouTube clips that typically come a week after the games take place. But the league is trying to change that with a series of “bold moves,” and those apparently begin with piggybacking on the NFL’s terrible PR situation.
Los Angeles Temptation running back Carmen Borseau is front and center, and all suited up, in a new YouTube spot that calls out embattled former NFL running back Ray Rice. And she’s not screwing around, straight up calling Rice a “f*cking coward,” and inviting him to come play a down against her and some of her fellow LFL athletes. It probably won’t happen, but I’d watch. Isaac and Danger would watch, too, so that’s three new viewers. That’s progress.
