The Pittsburgh Penguins Honored Ottawa With A Wonderful Rendition Of ‘O Canada’

By now you’re aware of the multiple shootings in Ottawa Wednesday, both inside the Parliament building and at a number of downtown areas. A soldier guarding the Canadian War Memorial was killed. The news hit the NHL particularly hard and the Ottawa Senators-Toronto Maple Leafs game was postponed as a result.

Before the Pittsburgh Penguins-Philadelphia Flyers game, the organization honored the fallen soldier and all those in Ottawa with a wonderful rendition of the nation anthem, “O Canada.” Then they turned the arena into a Canadian flag. It was a lovely gesture.
