This is from a game between Spanish Fork Dons and Maple Mountain Golden Eagles, two high school teams in Utah. With Spanish Fork up 3 points with 3.7 seconds, the quarterback opted to scramble on 4th down to run out the clock. He did the first part right. He scrambled to the sideline and the clock hit zero. Then he had a monumental brain fart.
The result was a 25-yard touchdown return in the other direction and a terrible last second loss for Spanish Fork. I mean, I feel terrible for this kid, I really do. But not gonna lie, I also laughed my a$$ off. Please everyone, just play to the whistle. It’s not that hard.
