Some of you may have missed out on the A-League Grand Final — that's the Australian soccer league, obviously — so let me fill you in. It was a hotly contested game, and the Central Coast Mariners fell 1-0 to the Newcastle Jets in a match where their Mariners goalkeeper Danny Vukovic (that's him above dressed as viral video star Corey Worthington) was sent off and banned for nine months after "hitting" a ref.
So the Mariners returned home, and celebrated their loss on "Mad Monday" by dressing up like jackasses. Most of the costumes were pretty entertaining, but Andre Gumprecht and Tony Vidmar put a hitch in the festivities by dressing, respectively, as Adolf Hitler and God. Oh, and not just any God, but Morgan-Freeman-in-Bruce Almighty-God, which scored bonus points for offensiveness by adding in blackface. Sacrilegious and racist!
Now see, that's impressive. When you can offend multiple groups of people with one costume, you know you've accomplished something special. But let's be honest: it's got nothing on my blackface Osama bin Laden costume. I wear it with a swastika armband and a crown of thorns. Life of the party every time, dude.
