Tom Brady Has Had Enough Of Your Questions About Donald Trump

Quite honestly, it’s a surprise this didn’t happen sooner. In early September, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was spotted with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s “Make American Great Again” hats hanging from his locker. Brady was asked about the hat, and initially responded by saying it would “be great” if Trump were elected, but later clarified his statements a few days later.

“I mean, look, I’ve known him for a long time,” Brady said via Comcast Sports New England. “He’s been a fun guy that I’ve had a lot of time around. The fact that he’s running has obviously led to a lot of stories and debates and ratings were huge for all those Republican debates and so forth.

“One way or another, it’s so far away from when the election will be. Whatever I vote is going to be my own personal choice based on how I feel. I don’t even know what the issues are. I haven’t paid attention to politics in a long time. It’s actually not something that I really even enjoy. It’s way off my radar.”

Then this week, Brady was asked again about Trump — specifically whether or not he was directly endorsing Trump for president, and Brady skirted around the question from WEEI radio in Boston as best he could by saying he “supports all his friends in everything they do.”

His comments led to Brady and Trump being featured on the cover of the New York Daily News on Wednesday. On the same day, Brady was asked during media availability about how people criticize Brady’s relationship with Trump. He gave a brief answer to the reporter and ended the press conference.

I really can’t blame Brady for this one. Now can this whole Trump-Brady thing be over with already?
