Tom Brady Misses A Preseason Game After Slicing His Thumb With Scissors

Tom Brady is not going to be seeing much action early in this NFL season. As we all know, because we’ve been dealing with it for seemingly years now, Brady will miss the first four games of the NFL regular season. He also did not play in the New England Patriots’ first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints. Brady was expected to finally see some game action during New England’s second preseason game against the Chicago Bears, but then he ran into a problem. He cut himself with some scissors.

Brady sliced his right thumb open with a pair of scissors while reportedly trying to get something off the bottom of his cleat. One could argue that he probably shouldn’t have been using something as sharp as a pair of scissors to do that, but it’s a little late to help him out on this one. It is not known whether or not Brady needed stitches, but they decided to pull him from the starting lineup and send him home. This isn’t that serious, since Brady is not a player that needs reps and he isn’t going to be playing for a few weeks this season anyway. However, there is nothing about hearing Brady cut his thumb open with scissors that doesn’t make you cringe.
