Listen To DMX Narrate The Cold Open To UFC 196

There’s no denying that rapper DMX has one of the greatest voices in the history of voices. His gravelly rhetoric and bark are enough to make even the toughest of the tough crap their pants and squeal as they skip back to their Dodge Caravan. Once the biggest rapper on the planet, DMX has been facing tough times of late, allegedly being revived after a supposed overdose just last month.

But, maybe the “Where My Dogs At?” rapper is turning a page. For the new cold opening for UFC 196 — a PPV event that will see the two megafights of Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz and Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate — DMX lent his infamous growl to the vignette.

Confronting the McGregor-Diaz brawl, Dark Man X calls it, “A fight that breaks every rule in the book, but makes all the sense in the world.”

In case you thought this was just a fan-made creation, or perhaps the work of X himself looking to attach his name to a big event, you are very wrong. UFC posted the above video to their official YouTube page, and the video will likely kick off the PPV when it debuts this Saturday.

Check out DMX and UFC 196 on March 5. And, let’s hope this is just the beginning of a beautiful partnership between X and the UFC.
