UFC 201 Results: Tyron Woodley Knocks Out Lawler To Become The Welterweight Champ

Robbie Lawler has finally fallen. His iron chin was finally crushed, and Tyron Woodley was the one to crush it. Beyond a new champion being crowned, UFC 201 was full of action. Here are your full results.

Main Card

—Tyron Woodley Def. Robbie Lawler via KO (round 1). Watch the vicious replay here.

—Karolina Kowalkiewicz def. Rose Namajunas via split-decision.  Karolina’s brutal knees chipped away at Rose’s healthbar, and after the midway point in the fight, there was nothing Rose could put together. This sets up Karolina versus Joanna Champion for an all-Polish women’s strawweight title fight. Let’s go to Krakow for that one, UFC!

—Jake Ellenberger def. Matt Brown via TKO (round 1). Matt Brown’s glass liver failed him again. Ellenberger opened up the fight with a huge overhand that put Brown on his back, then after Brown recovered, he was sent back to the mat with an Ellenberger livershot. Jake needed this win.

—Erik Perez def. Francisco Rivera via unanimous decision. This was the brawl we expected when we made our predictions, and it lived up to the hype.

—Ryan Benoit def. Fredy Serrano via split-decision. Benoit won on 11-days notice and looked good doing it.

FOX Sports Prelims

—Nikita Krylov def. Ed Herman via head kick (round 2). This was truly devastating. We hope Ed Herman is okay after this. Check out the highlight here.

—Jorge Masvidal def. Ross Pearson via unanimous decision. Masvidal looked great, but Ross Pearson went full Ross Pearson and fought on like the badass he is (while moving up to welterweight).

Pearson got rocked hard in the second, and may have thought the fight was over after going to the wrong corner and celebrating. This is when the fight should probably be ended? The UFC even tweeted about it, then deleted that tweet pronto.

—Anthony Hamilton def. Damian Grabowski via KO (round 1). It only took 14 seconds for this beatdown to leave Grabowski, a skilled grappler, face down on the mat.

—Wilson Reis def. Hector Sandoval via neck crank submission (round 1). And this is historic — the fastest submission win in flyweight history.

Fight Pass Prelims

—Michael Graves vs. Bojan Velickovic is ruled a majority draw.

—Damien Brown def via KO (round 1). This was a beatdown.
