UFC Fight Night 65, Glory Kickboxing, Metamoris And Boxing Live Discussion

Holy cow, I think every combat sport ever invented is going down this weekend. There’s kickboxing, regular boxing, mixed martial arts and submission grappling all taking place, so let’s dig into what’s happening when and how you can watch it!

FRIDAY

Glory 21

Glory kickboxing returns with another one-night tournament, this time in the heavyweight division. There’s also a middleweight title at stake, as champion Artem “The Lion” Levin defends against tournament winner Simon Marcus. Glory 21 will be on Spike TV starting at 11 p.m. EST.

SATURDAY

Metamoris 6

Metamoris is a top submission grappling organization that actually emphasizes submissions, which are the only way to win. Metamoris 6 will be an online PPV, starting at 6 p.m. EST. Current and former UFC fighters like Josh Barnett, Joe Lauzon, Chael Sonnen, Renato Sobral and Jeff Monson are scheduled to compete.

HBO Boxing: Canelo vs Kirkland

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is one of the top young boxers, sporting a 44-1-1 record, with 31 knockouts. He faces James “Mandingo Warrior” Kirkland, who is 32-1, with 28 knockouts. There should be some heavy fists flying. This contest will be on HBO starting at 9 p.m. EST.

UFC Fight Night 65

Saturday night ends with an international UFC card as Fight Night 65 takes place from Adelaide, Australia. The entire card will be on Fight Pass, starting at 7:45 p.m. EST with the prelims. The main card will begin at 11 p.m. EST, and the main-event is a Top 5 heavyweight contest between Stipe Miocic and Mark Hunt.

That’s a pretty stacked weekend of combat sports. Join in for a live discussion for every punch, kick, knee, elbow, slam, and submission!
