The UFC Is Launching A Podcast Hosted By Jim Norton And Matt Serra

Do you wanna be a f*ckin podcaster? UFC has partnered with DGital Media to bring UFC Unfiltered with Jim Norton and Matt Serra to fight fans every Tuesday and Thursday, starting June 21. Per UFC Executive Vice President of Operations and Production, Craig Borsari:

“This podcast will serve as a new avenue for our fans to consume exclusive audio content at their convenience. We feel that Jim and Matt will provide both insightful fight analysis along with plenty of stories and observations surrounding UFC, sports and topics of general interest.”

DGitial Media’s Chief Content Officer, Chris Corcoran, added:

“There is no fan base that craves and consumes insider content more than the loyal followers of UFC, and we feel this new partnership will help bring them even closer to the athletes and stories they love.”

I have to admit, I’m a little apprehensive about this idea. On one hand, I’m sure it will be better than The Fighter and The Kid because Matt Serra is better than Brendan Schaub across the board, but I would much rather have Ray Longo telling stories with Serra. Those two are proven to be hilarious together, but I guess they both can’t record a podcast twice a week while also training top level fighters like Chris Weidman and Aljamain Sterling.

Still, UFC Unfiltered should be very interesting, and extremely explicit. I just hope nobody goes on for hours at a time about chemtrails and other conspiracy theories like Joe Rogan and Eddie Bravo.
